Do you have a sharp eye for detail and a steady hand for precision work? We're a family-run, full-service commercial and financial printer that's been leading the industry since 1949. With advanced sheetfed, web, large format, digital press capabilities - plus New England's largest bindery/finishing operation - we're proud of our history and excited about our future. Now, we're looking for skilled 2nd Pressman to join our growing team.Position: 2nd Pressman
As a 2nd Pressman, you play a key role in keeping the press running smoothly, efficiently, and at top quality. You'll work closely with the Lead Pressman to support press setup, maintain ink and paper flow, monitor production quality, and troubleshoot mechanical issues. If you have strong mechanical ability, great color vision, and a passion for print manufacturing, this role is the perfect next step in your career.What You'll Do
  • Assist in all aspects of press operation to ensure optimal productivity.
  • Hang plates, load substrates, and maintain ink levels throughout the production run.
  • Assist with make-readies, including setting sheet size, coatings, blankets, and job-specific adjustments.
  • Monitor print quality continuously, perform routine adjustments, diagnose and correct basic mechanical or operational errors, and support routine maintenance tasks.
  • Pull and evaluate samples during press runs to ensure accuracy.
  • Follow job bag instructions, verify materials, and support alignment of layouts.
What You Bring
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 4 or more years of pressroom experience in a commercial printing setting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to run, adjust, and troubleshoot press equipment.
  • Excellent color vision and understanding of print quality standards.
  • Solid communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with press staff.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workflow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliability, strong work ethic, and commitment to consistent, high-quality output.

Physical Requirements
Walking 30% | Standing 70%. Lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying 25-50 lbs. and more.
