Capital One is seeking a culture-led, results-driven, and strategic problem solver to join the FP&A Tech Finance team as a Manager supporting Enterprise Data (eData). In this high-visibility role, you will serve as a dedicated finance business partner, advising Enterprise Product and Tech leadership on strategic decisions. You will own the monthly actuals and outlook processes, challenge the status quo, and build sustainable, efficient financial frameworks. As a Manager, you will provide leadership by forging relationships, leveraging insights to influence business actions, and acting as a work lead and mentor to empower junior members of the team to deliver their best work.

About the Enterprise Data (eData) Team

  • Strategic OpEx Management: Take ownership of budget and forecast accuracy for your areas of responsibility. Build end-to-end, well-managed financial forecasting processes, and accurately explain key cost drivers, monthly variances, and annual financial trajectories.

  • Executive Advising & Storytelling: Analyze complex financial results and translate them into clear, high-impact, "executive-ready" presentations. Tell the story of the financials within the context of business priorities to influence the Enterprise Product and Tech leadership teams.

  • Financial Modeling & Business Cases: Build structured financial models to resolve ambiguity. Partner with leadership to assess the financial implications of corporate actions and imperatives.

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Provide financial leadership to the team and key partners by leveraging financial insights to influence actions and results. Build strong relationships across the Tech Finance and partner ecosystems and work collaboratively to deliver on strategic agendas.

  • Process Excellence & Improvement: Create well-managed, sustainable financial processes. Lead ad-hoc financial analyses under both open-ended and tight timelines.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Intellectually Curious & Transparent: High personal and professional integrity, coupled with exceptional problem-solving skills, a desire to solve big problems, dig deeply into the truth through data, and maintain a high bar for excellence.

  • Strategic-Minded & Proactive: A strong business sense with an intrinsic drive to anticipate needs, understand changing tech/industry forces, navigate white space comfortably, and see the bigger picture beyond the numbers to guide leadership through complex decisions.

  • Structured Thinker & Strong Communicator: The ability to deal with ambiguity by assisting in the development of project objectives, distilling complex financial concepts into digestible insights, and presenting data-backed recommendations to senior audiences.

  • Empathetic Leadership: A low-ego team player with grit. You possess a willingness to roll up your sleeves to help colleagues, manage work through others, foster collaboration, and elevate your team members when challenges arise.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis

  • At least 5 years of experience with financial modeling
