Job description

We Are Looking to Add a Key Member to Our Finance Team!
The Business Support Financial Analyst will lead, evaluate, and support financial implications of the business supports strategy, operations, financial outcomes, and overall performance targets. This position will provide data driven insight and support for enhanced decision making to drive success of our customers, business units and GreatAmerica Financial Services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong financial acumen combined with analytical skills and solution driven mindset.
As a Business Support Financial Analyst, you will:
  • Partner with Business Support Leaders in development of the unit's operating and financial strategies
  • Assist in development of the business supports financial models to forecast operating results, including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements. Models would include annual budget and longer term (i.e. 5 year) financial plan
  • Continuously analyze the performance of the business support units against financial plans, identifying areas of opportunity, areas with positive and negative trends, and areas of concern. Once identified, work with business support leadership team to develop and implement plans to outperform financial plans
  • Work with business support stakeholders, utilizing data and analysis, to quantify financial and operational impacts in support of strategic decision making
  • Make recommendations to leadership team regarding revenue growth or cost saving opportunities that align to longer term financial plans
  • Assist in monthly reporting within business support and to the leadership team
  • Partner with business unit and the data analytics team on the design and creation of interactive reports and dashboards to inform and drive action by business support
  • Proactively promote and participate in process improvement initiatives within business support
  • Promote a data driven culture throughout GreatAmerica via active participation in a data champion community utilized for knowledge and best practice sharing
  • Perform other duties as required

To be successful in the role you will need:
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics or related field
  • CPA or CFA is a plus

Experience
  • New college graduate or Finance professional with 1-3 years finance and accounting experience
