Job description

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Business Aligned Finance Analyst to support the Affluent and Premier businesses. This highly visible role will serve as a senior finance partner responsible for forecasting, performance management, executive reporting, and strategic decision support.

The successful candidate will combine strong financial acumen, analytical leadership, and executive communication skills to translate complex business and financial information into actionable insights. The role will partner across Consumer & Small Business Banking, Wealth & Investment Management, FP&A, Strategy, Product, Analytics, Risk, and Finance to support business growth, profitability, customer outcomes, and finance transformation.


In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a senior finance partner to the Affluent and Premier businesses, providing insight-driven recommendations that support growth, profitability, and customer outcomes.
  • Advise senior business and finance leaders on complex initiatives with significant business impact.
  • Lead executive-level financial analysis and business performance reporting for strategic reviews, operating committees, earnings-related processes, regulatory requests, and leadership presentations.
  • Develop clear executive storylines that frame performance, key drivers, trade-offs, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Lead financial forecasting and planning for the Premier channel business, including key business and financial metrics. Partner with FP&A and business leaders to develop monthly forecasts, annual operating plans, and long-range financial outlooks. Lead analytical and reporting processes supporting month-end close, forecast reviews, business reviews, and executive deliverables.
  • Develop deep subject-matter expertise in Affluent and Premier financial performance, business drivers, customer economics, and key performance indicators. Translate complex financial and operational data into concise, decision-oriented insights for senior leaders.
  • Build trusted relationships across Consumer & Small Business Banking, Wealth & Investment Management, FP&A, Strategy, Product, Analytics, Risk, and Finance.
  • Align cross-functional partners around financial assumptions, performance measures, strategic priorities, and executive deliverables.
  • Lead complex work across organizational boundaries while maintaining clear accountability for outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading complex financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and analytical initiatives.
  • Advanced expertise in financial modeling, scenario analysis, driver-based planning, and translating data into actionable business insights.
  • Strong executive communication skills, including developing presentations, financial narratives, and decision-support materials for senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, challenge assumptions constructively, and drive results across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience partnering directly with senior business and finance executives in fast-paced, evolving environments while managing multiple priorities with sound judgment.
  • Background in financial services, including consumer banking, affluent banking, wealth management, deposits, investments, or related businesses
