Job description

Elite Contracting Group is one of Virginia's fastest-growing full-service security and resiliency solution integration companies. We are seeking a Field Installation Foreman with experience in one of the following ares to join our Central Region Office in Petersburg, Virginia - equipment operating, fence installation, concrete finishing or civil construction. As a Field Installation Foreman, you will be responsible for leading the installation of various types of construction projects including the installation of commercial fences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all work is performed according to safety standards with a focus on quality customer service
  • Lead and direct a team of installers, assigning tasks, providing guidance and support to ensure productivity and quality workmanship
  • Read and interpret blueprints and coordinate project logistics
  • Ensure proper installation techniques are used for various fence types including wood, vinyl, chain link, and ornamental fencing
  • Inspect completed work to ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications
  • Track progress and provide updates to management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a crew
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, such as drills, saws, and post hole diggers
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and alignment of fence components
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during installation
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and colleagues
  • Commitment to safety protocols and practices to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas
  • Must be able to lift, push, and carry 50 - 70 pounds
  • Must be able to work in various conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat and cold
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be able to work Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 5:00PM; additional work, including on-call, may be required
  • Must maintain a satisfactory background record
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to travel out of town as needed
Anticipated Hiring Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year.
