About the role
The Facility Services Technician is responsible for the clean-up and transportation of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste. The position is expected to perform various tasks including but not limited to loading and unloading tanks and tankers with bulk liquids, complete inspection of equipment, hoses and connections as well as perform confined space entry.
The Facility Services Technician will operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts and other power tools in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA requirements, and all local, state and federal laws.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform railcar offloading and cleaning, including safe transfer of materials and proper decontamination procedures

  • Execute roll splitting operations using facility equipment (e.g., guillotine or roll splitter systems)

  • Conduct internal tank cleaning and industrial cleaning services, including confined space entry as required

  • Load and unload tanks, tankers, railcars, and containers with bulk liquids and materials

  • Operate a variety of equipment including pressure washers, hydro-blasting systems, vacuum trucks, forklifts, and hand/power tools

  • Perform routine inspection of hoses, connections, tanks, and equipment prior to and during operations

  • Handle, package, and transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements

  • Complete all required documentation (manifests, permits, job summaries, logs, etc.) accurately and timely

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment through daily housekeeping activities

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and onsite personnel to support operational efficiency

  • Follow all OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards and procedures at all times

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and pass a respirator fit test

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work

  • Strong attention to safety, detail, and adherence to procedures

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.

  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.

  • Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, bend or twist for extended periods of time.

  • Consistently work in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in industrial services, environmental services, or material handling

  • Experience with hydro-blasting, vacuum systems, or industrial cleaning equipment

  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification

Physical Demands of the Role
  • Ability to lift/carry 50lbs.

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.

  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.

Pay Transparency
Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 18.85 - 25.05 USD per hour
