Responsibilities This position supports DoD explosive safety managers in ensuring safety and compliance programs for the storage, handling, and transportation of test explosives. The role provides oversight of safety and compliance of explosive operations conducted during test operations, ensuring the safety of personnel, material, and environmental resources. As a subject matter expert, supports planning and coordination of all phases of explosives recovery operations for weapons and explosives malfunctions to include contact with national level agency, service, and foreign country program managers. Supports post-test hazard abatement for structural damage, hazardous atmospheres, unexploded ordnance and explosives, and other hazards resulting from test operations. Key Responsibilities * Provide oversight of safety and compliance of explosive operations conducted during test operations * Ensure the safety of personnel, material, and environmental resources during explosive operations * Support planning and coordination of all phases of explosives recovery operations for weapons and explosives malfunctions * Coordinate with national level agency, service, and foreign country program managers * Support post-test hazard abatement for structural damage, hazardous atmospheres, unexploded ordnance and explosives, and other hazards resulting from test operations * Enter permit-required confined spaces and don up to Level A personal protective equipment * Coordinate and communicate with test team members on explosive safety issues * Serve as a Safety Officer assigned to explosive testing work Required Qualifications * Bachelors degree OR Associates degree and 5 years of relevant experience
* OR High School diploma and 9 years of relevant experience
* Graduate of DoD Joint Service EOD School * OSHA Permit-Required Confined Space Training * OSHA 510 (Construction), 511 (General Industry), and 7405 (Fall Protection) training - or Occupational Safety degree or Associate (or higher) Safety Professional credential * OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) 40-hour Training * First Aid, CPR, and AED training * Active Top Secret Security Clearance is required with the ability to obtain SCI access. US Citizenship is required. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package. Posted Salary Range USD $74,250.00 - USD $116,035.00 /Yr.
