Senior Manager, Experience Design
Description -
Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Experience Design Lead will head the Intelligent Experience Design team, ensuring that every internal digital and AI-powered product delivers intuitive, human-centered, and impactful experiences. This leader will guide the design vision, oversee UX/UI strategy, and integrate design thinking and responsible AI principles across internal persona-based applications (sales, operations, partner etc.).
As a senior design leader, this role will manage UX/UI Designers, Front-End Developers, and Design Researchers, while partnering closely with Product Managers, AI Engineers, and Data Scientists to ensure that complex AI capabilities are translated into clear, trustworthy, and delightful user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
  • Define and champion the experience design vision for AI-powered digital products.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary design team (UX/UI, Front-End, Research, Testing).
  • Partner with the VP of Digital Products and senior leadership to align design strategy with business outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of design thinking, experimentation, and user empathy.

Experience Design Execution
  • Oversee the creation of personas, user journeys, and service blueprints that inform design.
  • Ensure designs balance usability, accessibility, and AI transparency/trust.
  • Establish and maintain a design system and reusable UI components for consistency across products.
  • Drive integration of AI insights and data-driven features into intuitive interfaces.

Collaboration
  • Partner with Product Managers to define experience-led product requirements.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML Engineers and Data Scientists to design responsible and explainable AI experiences.
  • Work with Front-End Developers to ensure high-quality implementation of design specifications.
  • Facilitate design workshops, prototyping sessions, and user validation cycles.

Governance & Standards
  • Define design principles, accessibility standards, and responsible AI guidelines for digital products.
  • Advocate for evidence-based design, integrating user research and testing into the product lifecycle.
  • Track and report on experience KPIs such as usability, adoption, engagement, and satisfaction.

Education & Experience Recommended
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Cognitive Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in UX/UI, product design, or experience strategy, with at least 4-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading design teams in digital product organizations (AI/ML product experience preferred).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design leadership in complex, data-driven products.
  • Expertise in design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision).
  • Deep knowledge of design thinking, accessibility standards, and human-centered AI principles.
  • Excellent leadership, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this role is $147,050 to $230,850 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
