Job description

Job Summary:
The Manager, Sourcing will support the Director of Sourcing and Supply Chain in executing sourcing strategies across assigned product categories to drive cost efficiency, quality, and supplier performance. This role plays a key part in enabling profitability, innovation, and supply chain agility by managing supplier relationships, executing sourcing initiatives, and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. The Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Product Development, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth execution and value delivery.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
  • Sourcing Strategy Execution: Implement sourcing strategies that support category growth, cost optimization, and supply chain resilience under the guidance of the Director.
  • Supplier Management: Manage day-to-day supplier relationships, evaluate vendor performance, and support negotiations to achieve favorable cost, quality, and delivery outcomes. Influence without direct authority, drive supplier collaboration across geographies and cultures.
  • Cost Management: Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings through value engineering, supplier consolidation, and competitive bidding, maintaining product quality and service levels.
  • Global Sourcing Support: Assist in optimizing the global sourcing footprint, monitoring geopolitical and tariff impacts, and recommending sourcing shifts as needed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Development, Merchandising, and Quality to ensure sourcing activities align with business needs, product timelines, and quality standards.
  • Vendor Compliance: Ensure suppliers adhere to ethical sourcing, regulatory, and quality standards. Support factory audits and sustainability initiatives.
  • Risk Mitigation: Monitor supply chain risks and contribute to contingency planning through supplier diversification and proactive communication.
  • Performance Tracking: Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supplier performance, cost savings, and delivery. Provide regular updates and insights to leadership.
  • Product Development Support: Work closely with Product Development and Design teams to identify new materials, technologies, and manufacturing capabilities that enhance product innovation. Assist with change management (ECN)
  • Team & Process Leadership: Support continuous improvement of sourcing processes, systems and analytics (including digital sourcing platform adoption, advanced spend analytics, supplier performance dashboards)".. Facilitate and support digitalization of supply chain and drive digital sourcing tools adoption
  • Internal Partner Engagement: Provide analytical and market insights to internal stakeholders, contributing to informed sourcing and business decisions.

To join our band, you'll need the following experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • (Musical/Audio background is a strong plus but not a requirement)
  • 6-8 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or project leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated success supporting or executing global sourcing strategies within a consumer goods or multi-category environment.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and supplier management skills.
  • Ability and openness to travel globally from 2-6 times per year.
  • Familiarity with international sourcing, tariffs, cost structures, and vendor evaluation.
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings and process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across functions and cultures.
  • Experience with sourcing systems, ERP platforms, and supply chain analytics tools.

Pay Rate: $80,000- $130,000 depending on background and experience.
This position is eligible to participate in the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on Company performance.
