Job description

Accounting Supervisor

A well-established manufacturing company is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to oversee day-to-day accounting activities and support the company’s financial operations. Reporting directly to the Owner/CEO, this position will be a hands-on accounting role responsible for maintaining accurate financial records while supporting month-end close and working closely with the team responsible for orders and shipping processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Payroll
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records and transactions
  • Support the month-end/EOM close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
  • Assist with cash management, account reconciliations, and general accounting analysis
  • Process customer invoices, payments, vendor invoices, and related documentation
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Work closely with the Owner/CEO on accounting, financial, and administrative matters
  • Partner with the employee responsible for orders and shipping documentation/processes to ensure accurate flow of information between operations and accounting
  • Help maintain proper documentation and internal accounting processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, reporting, and overall efficiency
  • Provide general accounting support and reporting as needed

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Previous experience with Odyssey ERP is highly beneficial
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other standard accounting software
