Job description

Project Background:

Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) represents the capabilities which enable the President to exercise nuclear command and control authorities and the Department of Defense’s (DOD’s) nuclear forces to act upon the President’s direction. The NC3 Enterprise is critical to deterrence and credible nuclear warfighting, but it has not progressed at the pace of technological innovation. The NC3 Enterprise Center (NEC) was established to address future strategic environments, monitor and assess current capabilities, define future NC3 architectures and ensure modernized NC3 capabilities align with the nuclear triad.

Job Details:

The contractor shall conduct research to identify data requirements across Commands, Service, and Agency (C/S/A) evaluations, inspections, assessments, interoperability, operational, and exercise testing, to include defining the type, quality, and quantity of data required to determine operational and technical performance of the NC3 Enterprise. The team shall assist in identify data shortfalls and recommend solutions for obtaining the data. The contractor shall assist the government in determining enterprise risk. The enterprise risk will enable the operational certification and risk assessment across the enterprise.

Job Requirements:

Active TS Clearance with eligibility for immediate SCI & SAR is required.

Experience with Nuclear Command & Control (NC2 / NC3) is strongly preferred.

At least 3 years of experience, or relevant college degree, in the following:

  • Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conduct numerical analysis, and devise recommended solutions
  • Analyze and determine risk, determine solutions to minimize risk, compile reports showing proposed plan of action and milestones
  • Examine and interpret statistical reports, predict future trends, monitor and assess implementation of risk management strategies
  • Produce statistical reports using basic statistical concepts, such as mean, standard deviation, confidence intervals, etc.
