Job description

Position: Shipping and Receiving / Admin Support
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Supervisor: Site Management
Location: Wakefield, MA

A unique opportunity to join a small stable company.  Innovent is an engineering and manufacturing company delivering innovative product and service solutions to disposable hygiene, aerospace, and industrial clients around the world. Innovent is part of Standex Engraving Group, a worldwide specialist in aesthetic and functional surfaces.
Required Job Duties:
Shipping & Receiving
  • Receive in supplies, tools, and materials accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare completed jobs for shipment to customers and in process jobs for shipment to suppliers
  • Package, prep, load, and unload shipments as needed, by hand or with a fork truck
  • Complete shipping and receiving documentation including FedEx, UPS, bills of lading, international, and customer paperwork
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry into Epicor ERP system
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries with vendors and carriers
Office Administration / Purchasing Support
  • Monitor office supply and equipment inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Request quotes from approved suppliers while ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders for job materials and operational needs using Epicor
  • Follow up with vendors regarding delivery schedules and order status
  • Generate and update internal quotes and sales orders
  • Maintain organized records, filing systems, and administrative documentation
  • Provide excellent customer service while communicating professionally with customers and vendors via phone and email
  • Assist with additional administrative and clerical duties as needed
General Support
  • Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies and procedures
  • Communicate problems, delays, or concerns promptly to management
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
Required Qualifications
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 2-3 years previous shipping/receiving, administrative, customer service, purchasing, or manufacturing support experience preferred
  • Experience with Epicor or other ERP systems is a plus
  • Must have valid drivers license
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and office environment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, email, and ERP systems such as Epicor
  • Comfortable learning new systems and processes through written and verbal instruction
  • Strong keyboarding and data entry skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively
Physical and Work Requirements
  • Some local travel including deliveries to or from suppliers, UPS or FedEx, up to 20%
  • Must be able to work a standard 40-hour work week with occasional overtime
  • Position involves a combination of office work and activity on the production floor
  • Sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling may be required
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and interacting with multiple departments throughout the facility
