Job description

Electrical Project Engineer – Distribution
Ann Arbor, MI | Raleigh, NC | Orlando, FL

Lead electrical distribution projects (up to 34.5kV) from design through execution for a top engineering firm serving investor-owned utilities. You'll own project scope, budget, schedule, and quality, mentor junior engineers, and work directly with clients to drive solutions from concept to completion.

What you'll do:

  • Serve as responsible charge and technical lead on overhead/underground distribution projects (4kV–34.5kV)
  • Manage multi-discipline teams and coordinate procurement, permitting, and construction support
  • Prepare engineering deliverables, calculations, and equipment/material recommendations
  • Build client relationships, present designs, and support business development and proposals
  • Drive QA reviews and continuous improvement across project teams

What you need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Active PE license — required
  • 5+ years of related experience, including full project life cycle as a Project Engineer
  • Utility client experience with overhead/underground distribution design
  • Strong grasp of NESC/NEC standards
