Job Description:
Strategically fill the seasonal calendar with a wide range of motorsports events, spanning from private test days to driving schools, club events, and national race weekends. Manage the bookings and schedule the calendar for all 4 Mile Track Rental events, which includes promoting, negotiating, contract writing and ensuring all event details are fully executed. Work with all levels of management staff to deliver a successful event for our clients, from marketing to operations to hospitality. Develop, implement, and manage Road America's Track Day Program, including training and scheduling instructors and fleet management. Research and analyze motorsports trends to support new event developments, audiences, partnerships, and opportunities. Represent Road America annually at industry and corporate events, trade shows, and other motorsports events. Engage with sponsors/partners and their associated promotional initiatives with the on-track audience.
Job Requirements:
  1. 5 years of experience in motorsports event management, planning, development, and implementation.
  2. 5 years of experience as Lead Event Manager for multiple Competitive Motorsports events, including Club Racing, Rally Racing, Rally Cross, TSD Rally, Autocross, Ice Racing, Drifting, Time Attacks, Drag Racing and Speed trials. This experience may have been gained as part of or in addition to the motorsports event management experience.
  3. Additional experience must include:
    • Motorsports rental contract negotiating, scheduling, booking, invoicing, and executing.
    • Motorsports insurance, including experience in waivers, claims, underwriting, and negotiations.
    • High Performance Driving Schools and Corporate Driving Event promotion, sales, and management, including scheduling, implementing Motorsports Safety Foundation instructor training and fleet management.
    • Sponsorship and Partnership acquisition, negotiation, and renewals.
    • Marketing media promotions with digital content, photography, print, and media software including Adobe products Photoshop, Lightroom and Illustrator.
    • Website creation tools, WordPress, Shopify, and Google Analytics.
    • MS Office, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Business Central 365, Tripleseat and MotorsportsReg
  4. Certified Motorsports Safety Foundation Level 2 Driving Instructor.
  5. 15% domestic and international travel.
  6. Must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
