Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented ACCESS CONTROL SPECIALIST to join our team in QUANTICO, VA. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in managing access to secure areas, while supporting security compliance and protection of sensitive assets.
  • Administer physical access control to facilities, ensuring proper credentialing, visitor management, and adherence to access policies
  • Coordinate badge issuance and revocation, access provisioning, and incident reporting for access violations
  • Conduct routine reviews of access logs, report anomalies, and assist with investigations of security incidents
  • Perform database queries using DISS & Scattered Castles; prints reports/results; retrieves case files; makes appropriate database entries.
  • Perform Random Anti-Terrorism Measures (RAMS) at customer site.
  • Able to support a rotating shift with a schedule of 0600-1400, 0800-1600 and 1000-1800

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED and 1-3 years of relevant experience in the security field.
  • Familiarity with government security regulations, including NISPOM, & DoD Manuals and policies, pertinent to security.
  • Experience working with access control systems (e.g., CCURE)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • 1 year + experience with using the Defense Information System for Security   (DISS) and /or Scattered Castles.

Clearance Requirements:

Must have an active and current TS/SCI security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able and willing to perform occasional manual labor and warehouse duties, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
