A Day in the LifeThe Senior Director, IT Supply Chain Plan, Build, Run will serve as the strategic technology leader for Medtronic's global supply chain, partnering closely with business executives to drive digital transformation, innovation, and operational excellence. This role is responsible for shaping and executing technology strategy across planning, integrated business planning, logistics, transportation, warehousing, and fulfillment by leveraging modern platforms, data, AI, and analytics to create a more connected, intelligent, resilient, and efficient supply chain. The leader will oversee a broad portfolio spanning business engagement, enterprise architecture, applications, cybersecurity, service delivery, and digital transformation while ensuring technology investments deliver measurable business value and support Medtronic's mission of advancing the future of healthcare.

As the Senior Director, IT Supply Chain Plan, Build, Run, you will partner with Global Supply Chain leaders to shape technology strategy and translate business priorities into a multi-year digital roadmap that drives operational excellence and measurable business outcomes. You will lead a global team responsible for delivering secure, scalable, and modern technology solutions across planning, logistics, warehousing, transportation, and fulfillment, while leveraging data, advanced analytics, automation, and AI to improve decision-making, resilience, and end-to-end supply chain performance. Balancing strategic vision with operational execution, you will influence stakeholders across a complex global organization, drive digital transformation initiatives, and ensure technology investments accelerate innovation, business value, and Medtronic's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Supply Chain Technology Leadership: Serve as the trusted IT advisor to Global Supply Chain leadership, aligning technology strategy, roadmaps, and investments with business priorities across planning, logistics, warehousing, transportation, and distribution.

  • Digital Transformation, AI & Analytics: Lead end-to-end supply chain transformation by leveraging digital technologies, automation, AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to improve forecasting, inventory optimization, operational efficiency, decision-making, and measurable business outcomes.

  • Technology Delivery & Platform Excellence: Own the delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of critical supply chain applications and platforms, ensuring reliability, security, scalability, service quality, and alignment with enterprise architecture and cybersecurity standards.

  • Innovation, Governance & Financial Stewardship: Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and industry-leading practices while maintaining strong portfolio governance, risk management, vendor strategy, business case development, and technology investment accountability.

  • People & Organizational Leadership: Build and develop a high-performing global team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and product-focused execution while strengthening business acumen and outcome-driven leadership capabilities.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience or 13+ years of relevant experience with an Advanced degree

  • 10+ years of leadership experience managing global teams and complex technology portfolios.

  • 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain IT, including experience in planning, integrated business planning, logistics, transportation, warehousing, and global distribution.

  • Enterprise Delivery, Governance & Risk Management: Extensive experience leading cross-functional programs with accountability for adoption, financial performance, vendor management, cybersecurity, compliance, enterprise architecture, governance, and risk management.

  • Executive Influence & Change Leadership: Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, lead organizational change, and influence across business and technology functions.
