ย Expected Salary Range :$87,000 to $108,000

Maximum Bonusย Potential :ย  15% target bonus, that rewards exceptional performance.ย

JOB SUMMARY

ย 

Reporting to the Manager of Development, the Project Manager is responsible for ensuring all new developments are planned and designed in accordance with the requirements and expectations of the Amica Design Guidelines, and review project documents for conformance to industry best practices for design and construction. Will also coordinate internally with Operations and Marketing input to ensure the Architectural Program is aligned with the project proforma and market segment positioning.ย  Working with the Amica investment, development, design and construction teams, the incumbent will be responsible for managing multiple projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the consultant team through the development process
  • Liaise with internal subject matter experts throughout the development process to ensure operational integrity.
  • Provide coordination and information to the Investments team and other stakeholders as required, to ensure accuracy and alignment in development stats
  • Manage communications and coordination of information between Amica and the consultant team
  • Work closely with the Development Manager to ensure new projects meet the Amica Design Guidelines.
  • Assist with the turnover process and other development-related tasks as required.
  • Provide suggestions for updating the Amica Design Guidelines, ensuring all lessons learned from previous projects are documented.
  • Provide accurate and timely project update reports to the Development Manager
  • Draft and manage development timelines, provide analytical insights based on design database; updating project information through the use of internal reporting tools
  • Flexibility in work hours; car and travel required.
  • Be able to review various consultant drawings, schedules and specifications for coordination of aspects such as building envelope, review of consultant reports and studies, project specifications and hardware, low voltage and security items.
  • Produce and compile various project analysis comparisons for various technical aspects of design construction items (i.e. Door hardware components, lighting, low voltage and electrical components, consultant design briefs and specifications).
  • Liaise with consultants, developer partners, and municipal planning staff, supporting the entitlement and approval processes of multiple projects.
  • Provide continuous analytical reviews of projects during design development to investments team, ensuring accuracy and reliability of stats used for the financial modeling of project investment returns.

  • Excellent people skills, able to be assertive, but also build team consensus.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision and to handle multiple and changing priorities; able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to review Municipal Ordinances, Architectural Schedules and Shop Drawings
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make good decisions; able to identify when appropriate guidance is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills; accuracy and thoroughness combined with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; should be capable of working with all levels of staff as well as consultants
  • Extraordinary ability to follow up on issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Construction, Engineering or Building Technology preferred.
  • At least 5 years' experience working in a development, planning, design or construction environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Power Point, Photoshop.
  • Proficient in AutoCad or Revit is beneficial.
  • Experience with budget and costing an asset.
  • Proven ability to read construction documents, schedules and specifications
  • Knowledge of building codes, construction standards and industry best practices
