Job description

SUMMARY      

Review of commercial construction documents and preparation of proposals for custom building and self-storage partition projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review of architectural and structural drawings, specifications and contracts.
  • Preparing proposals based on construction documents and Trachte product standards
  • Generating layout drawings in AutoCAD/Revit
  • Preparing requests for Information, Addenda and Change Orders.
  • Maintaining and entering data in manufacturing software.
  • May include answering telephone calls from customers and erectors regarding specific projects
  • May include estimating the price and provide a professional proposal for various building product lines in timely manner.
  •  Following the BMS policies and procedures.
  • Understands the importance of customer and regulatory requirements
  • Participates in continual improvements regarding processes and products

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, correspondence, bills of materials drawings, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively over the telephone to answer questions from customers and erectors.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree in engineering or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years Experience reading and interpreting commercial construction documents required
