The Licensing and Partnership Manager serves as the operational anchor for the Business Development department. This role directly supports the VP of Business Development by managing day-to-day partner relationships, executing wholesale sales channels, coordinating the development of Collectorโ€™s Editions, and overseeing the administrative and technical operations necessary to keep DPIโ€™s licensing and gear store initiatives running smoothly.

CORE JOB DUTIES

Licensing & Partner Management

  • Relationship Management: Act as a primary point of contact for day-to-day communications with DPIโ€™s game developer and publisher partners.
  • Licensing Support: Assist the VP of Business Development in tracking, executing, and maintaining consumer product licensing agreements.
  • Asset & Information Coordination: Secure necessary game graphical assets from partners and facilitate quarterly internal briefs regarding upcoming in-game updates.
  • Marketing Synchronization: Ensure partners deliver agreed-upon marketing support for their Gear Stores (e.g., social media pushes, email promotions) and gather advance information on their promotional calendars to align DPI's efforts.

Sales & Product Coordination

  • Wholesale Channel Management: Execute and manage wholesale sales, providing an outside sales channel to distribute DPI merchandise to various outside retailers and wholesalers.
  • Collectorโ€™s Edition Development: Support the pitching, sales, and development cycles for bespoke Collectorโ€™s Editions.
  • Internal Liaison: Coordinate seamlessly between external partners and DPIโ€™s internal teams to ensure products meet brand-authenticity standards and delivery timelines.

Operations & Administration

  • Vendor Management: Execute the end-to-end set-up and onboarding process for new sales channels
  • Product Set-Up: Manage the technical entry and set-up of new wholesale products within DPIโ€™s internal databases and help to develop supporting marketing materials needed for sales purposes.
  • Administrative Support: Perform ongoing administrative and technical tasks to ensure departmental efficiency, keeping accurate records of inventory needs, project statuses, and partner requests.

Performance Expectations & Ongoing Requirements

  • Organizational Excellence: Maintain rigorous attention to detail while managing multiple overlapping product timelines, partner requests, and administrative tasks.
  • Brand & Industry Knowledge: Maintain a deep, active understanding of video game culture, our specific brand partners (Bethesda, CD Projekt Red, SEGA, etc.), and the products fans want.
  • Travel: Fulfill occasional international travel requirements (a few times a year) for critical partner meetings & trade shows.
