Job description

  • Responsible for creating measurement programs taking into account geometric dimensions and tolerances based on drawings, MBD (model-based definition) data and/or programs, machine operating manuals, documents (e.g. construction plans, manufacturing orders, sketches) and specifications
  • Creating work orders in the relevant software taking into account specifications issued by the technical department or the customer
  • Providing functional support to the technical departments if changes are required, incl. translating the results from coordinate measuring machines
  • Responsible for creating measurement programs for the coordinate measuring machine, with or without a CAD model
  • Drawing up initial-sample test reports as per the VDA and PPAP template
  • Advising the technical departments on the selection of suitable test equipment and methods based on analyses and taking into account the Customer-Specific Requirements (CSR)
  • Amending the CU's standardised FMEA to suit the local circumstances in consultation with the technical departments
  • Responsible for creating MSAs (measuring system analyses) based on the requirements set out in the control plan
  • Implementing all measurement equipment and gauges regularly calibration
  • Responsible for entering the IMDS data
  • Planning and carrying out local re-qualification inspections
  • Evaluating the measurement data for SPC (Statistical Process Control)
  • Other duties, as assigned
