We are expanding our team and are looking for a highly skilled and motivated packaging specialist to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:

The Packaging Specialist is responsible for supporting packaging operations, artwork coordination, proofing, and project execution for packaging materials across the organization. This role will manage packaging projects from initiation through final production approval while working cross-functionally with Marketing, Quality Assurance, R&D, Purchasing, Production, and Engineering teams to ensure packaging specifications, artwork approvals, timelines, and print readiness are completed accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced and constantly evolving consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment. This individual should possess strong relationship-building skills, the ability to gain trust across departments and external partners, and a strong sense of ownership to drive projects through completion.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and track packaging artwork file processes, approvals, and proofing activities for packaging materials.
  • Own packaging projects from concept through final production approval and implementation.
  • Review open Purchase Orders (POs) and confirm completion of packaging and artwork requirements prior to production.
  • Ensure packaging artwork files align with approved specifications, regulatory requirements, branding standards, and internal processes.
  • Utilize company systems and proofing platforms to review, route, approve, and manage packaging artwork files.
  • Review packaging proofs and provide final approval (โ€œgreen lightโ€) for print production when requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure packaging projects remain on schedule and meet quality standards.
  • Follow up on pending approvals, missing files, artwork revisions, and project deadlines to drive timely project completion.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and tracking systems for packagingrelated projects and activities.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Support packaging development, testing, validation, and implementation activities.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve packaging workflows, organization, proofing systems, and process efficiencies.
  • Provide administrative and project support for packaging initiatives and commercialization activities as needed.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 13 years of experience in packaging, artwork coordination, printing, project management, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry is a plus but not required.
  • Basic understanding of packaging materials, printing processes, color proofing, and artwork workflows preferred.
  • Experience working with proofing systems, artwork management systems, or packaging approval platforms preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
  • Strong communication, relationshipbuilding, and followup skills with the ability to gain trust across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with project tracking systems.
  • Selfmotivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fastpaced, constantly evolving environment.
  • Open to learning and growing within packaging operations and project management.
