Job description

Engineered Marine Products (Bessemer, AL) is growing & looking to add a new warehouse manager! We are a company that is privately owned, employee focused, & an innovative leader in the marine industry. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a compelling background in supply chain, logistics, and warehouse supervision, with proven leadership skills to manage teams and optimize processes. This role involves inventory control, overseeing shipping & receiving, & process improvements to support the company's operational goals and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Manage warehouse staff, including supervising team members and providing training on safety protocols & operational procedures.
  • Implement process improvements utilizing principles and continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production planning, and logistics teams to align inventory levels with demand planning forecasts.
  • Utilize our ERP system (Epicor) for inventory control, warehousing, and operational reporting.
  • Manage warehouse safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulations; conduct regular safety audits.
  • Oversee freight operations including UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL, & full truck load. Actively work to optimize shipping & receiving processes.
  • Ensure effective warehouse distribution strategies are in place to meet customer demands efficiently.

Skills

  • Experience in Warehouse Management and operations.
  • Basic computer skills with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, etc)
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, procurement, and inventory control.

Compensation
:

Full-Time: Monday-Friday 7 A.M.->4 P.M. (40 hours per week). Salary is $50,000-$55,000 (depending on prior experience & knowledge), BCBS business sponsored Health & Dental Insurance, & Company matching 401K Program.
