Commercial Operations and Quoting, Sr. Manager

Job Summary:

The Senior Manager, Commercial Operations and Quoting, will serve as the strategic and operational leader for the company's Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) platform, enabling global alignment of quotation process, alignment of product and sourcing infrastructure and improved commercial effectiveness. This role is primarily responsible for mapping the operating model of the company and interpreting that into the business requirements and managing the end-to-end CPQ process design, system administration, enhancements, and governance. The Senior Manager partners cross- functionally with Sourcing, Logistics, Sales, Product, IT, and Finance to ensure the CPQ platform reflects our operating model and optimizes with accuracy, speed, and compliance across quoting and deal execution.

Key Job Responsibilities:


CPQ Strategy & Leadership

  • Own the CPQ vision, software roadmap, mapping of our operating model and system governance model to align with business priorities.
  • Partner cross functionally with IT, Procurement, Logistics, Product Management, and Commercial Finance to understand and/or improve business processes that operate in the input and/or output streams of CPQ
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on CPQ capabilities, best practices, and emerging technologies

Process Optimization

  • Drive scalable, standardized processes for product configuration, costing, incoterms and logistic costs to optimize BOMs.
  • Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, Operations, Product Management, and Commercial Finance to ensure accurate product catalogs, pricing, and discount structures.
  • Partner with PLM team to manage SKU lifecycles within quotation system
  • Ensure system integrity and controls

Business Partnership & Enablement

  • Partner with commercial organization to deliver customer quotes to adopt to new parts, suppliers, and geographies
  • Deliver training, documentation, and support to drive CPQ user proficiency
  • Partner with Commercial Finance to ensure accuracy and governance of costing and margin data

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, operating model consulting or IT, with at least 3-5 years managing CPQ platforms (Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, SAP CPQ, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of logistics, procurement, sales operations and order management and integration points with CRM and ERP systems
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross-functional projects
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Change management and process re-engineering expertise
