The Director, Wealth Management Coaching & Consulting plays a critical role in elevating the effectiveness of Schwab's branch network by coaching, consulting, and developing employees to deliver Schwab's Modern Wealth Management experience. This leader partners closely with field leadership and branch teams to drive advisor and consultant growth, improve client outcomes, and accelerate market performance through targeted coaching and strategic consulting.
What You Will Do
  • Coach and develop branch employees to enhance client engagement and wealth management capabilities.
  • Improve efficiency and effectiveness across branch teams through targeted developmental strategies.
  • Enhance client interactions, relationship management, and engagement skills.
  • Coach employees on financial planning concepts, tools, and client dialogue.
  • Showcase appropriate wealth management strategies and solutions for a variety of client scenarios.
  • Promote consistent adoption of Schwab's practice management standards.
  • Leverage business and performance metrics to identify trends and build tactical action plans.
  • Consult with field leaders to implement strategies that improve growth, retention, and client outcomes.
  • Influence organizational change through partnership, collaboration, and leadership.
  • Align coaching initiatives with Schwab's strategic business objectives.

What you have
Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS required
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 required
  • A minimum of 10-15 years in the financial services industry
  • 7+ years of sales leadership experience
  • Typical travel is about 50% of the time for coaching and meetings
  • Must reside in the region you cover, with potential to be located in a branch or corporate site based on capacity.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Wealth Management and effective client engagement skills.
  • Ability to formulate and teach efficient client engagement and sales processes.
  • Deep knowledge of brokerage, advised, and banking products and services.
  • Extensive knowledge of Financial Planning.
  • Exceptional customer focus, including the ability to think in terms of the customer experience and perspective.
  • Strong competency and demonstrated passion for coaching and employee development.
  • Demonstrated success executing and understanding initiatives aligned with the Company's strategic objectives to expand market share and achieve competitive advantage.
  • Keen business judgment and the ability to effectively make trade-offs in the business decision-making process and manage risk.
  • Data-curious approach to leveraging key metrics to identify trends and create tactical action plans to drive results in a sales environment.
  • Ability to inspire organizational change and growth.
  • Strong organizational, collaboration, and partnership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High degree of flexibility and comfort managing competing priorities.
