What is a Manager CMIC?

Manager CMICs are professionals responsible for overseeing and administering the use of CMiC, a widely used construction management software platform. They ensure the software is effectively implemented to support project management, financials, and operations within construction firms. Their duties often include user training, troubleshooting, customization, integration with other systems, and optimizing workflows to maximize efficiency. Manager CMICs act as the bridge between technical teams and project stakeholders, ensuring that the software meets the organization's needs.

How does a Manager CMIC typically collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success?

A Manager CMIC (Construction Management Information Control) works closely with various stakeholders, including project engineers, architects, contractors, and IT professionals, to streamline project documentation and communication. They often facilitate meetings, coordinate updates in the CMIC platform, and ensure that information flows efficiently among all parties. This collaborative approach helps reduce errors, improve transparency, and keep projects on schedule. Regular interaction with different teams also provides opportunities to proactively identify and resolve issues as they arise.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Manager CMIC, and why are they important?

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills set top candidates apart, enabling them to manage teams and stakeholders effectively. Tired of broken promises?

Or maybe you're just ready to advance and seeking the next step up.

It’s time to move beyond managing—and finally own the successful outcome of every project.

This is your opportunity to serve as the key point of accountability for successful project delivery from preconstruction through closeout. You will confidently and independently lead complex projects, primarily within the demanding healthcare sector, ensuring every project meets stringent compliance, budget, schedule, quality, and safety goals. This role demands a proven leader who can expertly navigate occupied medical environments, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care while mentoring the next generation of project leaders.

It doesn’t stop at Senior Project Manager:

Our client is looking for a master of execution, an expert in client trust-building, and a professional who models excellence across all phases of project execution, who can grow beyond project management into a pivotal leader.

 Why You'll Love This Role

  • Master High-Stakes Delivery – No more bad handoffs thrown into your lap. Full control from concept to completion. Lead complex projects with stringent compliance standards in the critical healthcare sector.
  • Own the Outcome – Serve as the primary point of accountability, driving projects to meet schedule, budget, quality, and safety KPIs.
  • Lead with Acumen – Confidently manage with autonomy, guide project teams through all phases, from client introduction to final closeout.
  • Build Legacy Relationships – Build deep, trusted relationships with healthcare clients to secure repeat business and referrals.
  • Develop Future Leaders – Mentor and develop less-experienced Project Managers, Engineers, and field staff.

 What You'll Do

  • Lead Collaboration – Drive internal coordination, emphasize phasing, and align budgets/schedules with estimating, design, and operations.
  • Manage Complex Execution – Develop and oversee project execution plans that accommodate aggressive timelines and stringent compliance common in occupied medical facilities.
  • Uphold Strict Compliance – Actively implement interim life safety measures and specific infection prevention protocols for healthcare sites, maintaining 100% safety compliance.
  • Oversee Financial Health – Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting to achieve or exceed targeted margins and efficiently manage change order recovery.
  • Manage Contracts & Risk – Review, negotiate, and manage owner contracts and subcontracts, proactively mitigating risks and addressing scope gaps.
  • Ensure Seamless Delivery – Develop and maintain master project schedules, coordinating closely with field teams to monitor milestones and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Foster Client Trust – Serve as the primary client contact, proactively managing expectations in sensitive, high-stakes settings.

 What You Bring

  • Minimum 7–10+ years of progressive project management experience, demonstrating success managing large, complex projects.
  • Prior Experience in Healthcare Construction – Essential knowledge of regulatory standards and successful management of projects in occupied medical environments.
  • Strong Financial Acumen – Proven success managing project budgets over $10M and proficiency in cost reporting, forecasting, and change management.
  • Technical Proficiency – Expertise in scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and project management platforms (Procore, CMiC, or similar).
  • Leadership Excellence – Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to build high-performing, solutions-oriented teams.

 What You'll Get

  •  Competitive Compensation – Strong pay + annual performance bonuses tied to project financial success.
  •  Profit Sharing – Share, celebrate, and succeed united as a team with a stake in our overall company performance. It’s an investment in you and a thank-you for your commitment to our shared goals.
  •  Clear Career Path – Defined path for short-, mid-, and long-term growth and movement into executive leadership roles.
  •  Vehicle Allowance & Fuel Card – Drive what you want with a generous monthly allowance and covered expenses.
  •  Hassle-Free PTO – Take time when you need it.
  •  401(k) Match – Strong plan to secure your future.
