Overview
Join a mission-driven consulting team that helps community health organizations strengthen financial performance, navigate complex regulatory environments, and expand access to care across the United States. As a Senior Manager, CFO-Level Consultant, you will serve as a strategic financial leader and trusted advisor to healthcare executives and boards, providing guidance on organizational strategy, financial sustainability, growth initiatives, compliance, and operational performance while leading high-impact engagements for federally qualified health centers and other community healthcare organizations.
You will oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, revenue cycle performance, funding strategies, and organizational transformation initiatives, partnering with executive leadership teams to solve complex challenges, build financial resilience, and achieve mission-driven objectives. Our consultants gain exposure to diverse healthcare environments, develop meaningful executive-level relationships, and deliver innovative solutions that create measurable impact for organizations and the communities they serve.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the strategic financial advisor for assigned client engagements
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management initiatives
  • Provide executive-level guidance on financial strategy, risk management, and organizational sustainability
  • Monitor client financial performance and recommend actionable improvements
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, grant, and industry requirements
  • Direct and coordinate engagement teams to deliver high-quality client service
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and overall engagement profitability
  • Maintain accountability for the quality, consistency, and professionalism of all client deliverables
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with client executives, leadership teams, and boards
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and support business development efforts
  • Oversee multiple client engagements simultaneously while meeting performance expectations
  • Mentor, coach, and develop consulting staff to strengthen technical and consulting capabilities
  • Collaborate across service lines to deliver integrated solutions and maximize client value
  • Contribute to thought leadership through presentations, publications, webinars, and industry engagement
  • Model and uphold the organization's Core Values in all internal and external interactions

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of accounting experience
  • Proven experience as CFO, finance officer, or relevant role
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
  • Experience delegating, reviewing and finalizing projects
  • Prior supervisory or project management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Preferred Qualifications
  • Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Primary Care Association (PCA) or Tribal Health Organization experience strongly preferred
  • Public Accounting Experience a plus
  • MSc/MBA is a plus
