Otter Creek Golf Course is seeking part-time concession help in the Tin Cup Bar & Grille for the 2026 golf season.
This position will begin ASAP and ends mid-November 2026.
This position pays $6.75 per hour + Tips.No benefits.
Work Schedule: Afternoon/Evening shift and weekends required
Under general direction of the Food and Beverage Manager, the Tin Cup Concession/Beverage Cart requires an individual to have great customer service skills and a positive attitude. Some food preparation required, and assisting in preparing the Tin Cup Bar & Grille for day-to-day operation. Also responsible for accurate accounting and all transactions using the Point-of-Sale System.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain safe working conditions and sanitary work area.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling procedures at all times.
  • Follow rules and regulations Food Sanitation laws.
  • Provide great customer service.
  • Interact with customers and clients in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Prepares and serves food and beverages.
  • Maintains a clean appearance, clean work uniform, and proper hygiene.
  • Cleans and maintains the concession area and equipment.
  • Fills products and display receptacles.
  • Provides customer assistance.
  • Ability to prepare and serve short order food and drink.
  • Ability to operate the appliances in the assigned area of work: dishwasher, hot dog roller, merchandise display warmer.
  • Ability to make change and operate a cash register.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and the public.
  • Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
  • Knowledge of laws of Iowa Beverage Division, required to take online class in alcohol service.
  • Ability to drive a golf cart, valid Iowa driver's license required.
  • Must claim all cash and credit card tips on a daily basis.

Entry Requirements and Skills
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Weekends are required
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check required

The City of Ankeny offers a comprehensive benefits package for regular fulltime employees. The benefits available include vacation, personal days, sick leave, life insurance and AD&D, health and dental insurance, vision insurance, long term disability, retirement, and flexible spending accounts. Other voluntary insurance products are also offered.
Non-Union Fulltime Employees:
Vacation:
80 hours per year-at hire
120 hours per year-after 5 years of service
160 hours per year-after 10 years of service
200 hours per year-after 15 years of service
240 hours per year-after 25 years of service
Personal:
Each year on July 1, fulltime employees shall receive 32 hours. The personal leave must be used on or before June 30th of the following year.
Hired between July 1 - October 1 - 32 hours
After October 1 - before January 1 - 24 hours
After January 1 - before April 1 - 16 hours
Sick:
8 hours per month after the first 30 days.
1600 hours maximum accumulation
