Overview
District Parts/Service Manager (CAL-D3-Los Angeles, CA area) at Subaru of America.
Responsibilities
- Performs as a business consultant to Subaru of America, Inc.'s retailer body for parts and service operations, achieving stellar customer handling using warranty and goodwill procedures.
- Achieves district parts and accessory sales objectives by developing profitable parts and service operations, effective warranty processes, and developing the retailer's non-technical staff.
- Ensures each retailer meets all parts and service-related minimum standards and works with the District Sales Manager (DSM) to attain goals in sales and service customer satisfaction.
- Covering Santa Monica, CA to Fresno, CA.
Additional Responsibilities
- Works with Customer Advocacy Department (CAD) and retailers to resolve non-technical issues.
- Able to road test automatic and manual transmission vehicles and manage the repair process of vehicles.
- Must have adequate hearing and vision capabilities.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Attends and passes all SOA web-based non-technical training (WBT) courses and instructor-led new technology training (NTT) courses and 900 Series new model update training.
- Requires professional flexibility to adapt to varying responsibilities and workload with a willingness to expand or develop existing skill sets in a changing business climate.
- Certification in Foundations and the ability to learn new/proprietary Subaru of America systems. Computer literacy in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is necessary.
- Parts inventory management, marketing, financial analysis, and general business acumen are critical.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that satisfies Subaru of America Driving Record Evaluation Criteria Policy. Must be approved as an "Authorized Driver" by Risk Management to operate a vehicle prior to operation.
Work Environment
Lift up to 50 pounds; may work from a remote district location; some evening and weekend work required. 60-70% travel required (with some overnight travel).
Compensation
The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $92,100 - $110,000 per year. Within the range, pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and education or training. (Internal Job Grade: M1)
