Mgr. Brewery Systems

In the role of Mgr. Brewery Systems working in our Golden, CO Brewery, you will be part of the Information Technology team and report to the Sr. Manager Brewery Technology. In this role, you will lead and manage a team of Manufacturing System Engineers responsible for manufacturing system implementation and sustainment. You will provide strategic leadership, technical expertise and competencies to deliver and sustain manufacturing systems solutions in use at the brewery. This role is viewed as the "Face of IT" within the brewery and acts as an IT thought partner to drive technology adoption and innovation throughout the manufacturing process (Brew, Pack, Ship). You will engage and collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders including Brewery Operations Leadership, IT Leadership, and external partners to drive the broader IT strategic plan.

What You'll be Brewing:

  • Most importantly, you will lead a team of talented colleagues, and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one on one conversations
  • Provides mentorship and leadership of Manufacturing System Engineers to deliver and sustain manufacturing execution and automation systems for Brewery operations
  • Provides key leadership support of manufacturing systems projects to deliver business value in areas of safety, energy, environmental and efficiency.
  • Responsible for the safety and quality standards that are enabled by Brewery Systems, ensuring the systems enforce all rules, regulations, policies, programs and related Molson Coors SQF guidelines.
  • Provides support for manufacturing capital projects, manufacturing systems, brewery systems infrastructure and budgetary responsibility for brewery systems.
  • Provide technical and operational support for manufacturing execution systems and automation technology projects in the brewery, and be seen as an IT trusted advisor to the brewery leadership team
  • Leverage role as sitting member of Brewery Leadership team to foster a Technology Culture built on education, adoption, and engagement embedding technology into the brewery's DNA through:
    • Leadership Advocacy: Influencing brewery leadership to champion IT initiatives by demonstrating how technology enhances business outcomes, delivers cost savings and increases efficiency.
    • Employee Enablement: Provide training and resources to help brewery users embrace new tools and systems
  • Leads IT change management for brewery systems and ensures effectiveness of change control procedures
  • Develops and implements brewery IT systems strategy aligned with Molson Coors IT Strategy
  • Ensures effective management and resolution for problems and incidents
  • Leads team performance, talent, and career management and creates a culture of employee engagement
  • Responsible for ensuring Molson Coors IT practices and standards are executed and enforced.
  • Ensures that issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner aligned with agreed service levels.
  • Incorporates agreed/standard technologies and to attain industry leadership through innovation and optimization.
  • Foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness and best practices within the brewery by:
    • Ensuring brewery leadership understands the importance of cybersecurity and actively supports initiatives.
    • Integrating cybersecurity into the brewery's IT strategic plan and risk management framework.
    • Training and user education
    • Ensures compliance of IT Security polices, process and standards

Key Ingredients:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in computer science or related STEM field OR equivalent experience
  • You have at least 8-10 years experience in experience in leading manufacturing systems projects and teams, participating in the design activities associated with developing, designing and implementing manufacturing systems capital projects
  • You have advanced technical and practical application experience with manufacturing execution, automation and controls, manufacturing KPI reporting systems
  • You have excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to effectively express complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent presentation skills and enthusiasm for case-building
  • Ability to lead team efforts with both internal and external resources.
  • Capability to utilize internal, external and consultant resources to achieve set objectives and/or complete projects
  • Knowledge and experience supporting Brewmaxx, Proficy, Proleit, Historian, and SAP
  • General knowledge and acquired competencies in:
    • Automation control systems
    • Brewing, Packaging, Utilities, Warehousing and Distribution
    • Facility planning and design
    • Safety, Health and Environmental
