Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Manager to join our corporate accounting team. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity of our financial records, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and supporting strategic financial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monthly close processes, including journal entry review, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Manage accounting for fixed assets and leases, including implementation of a fixed asset subledger
  • Ensure accurate tax accounting and coordination with internal tax teams
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with AR, AP, tax, treasury, and logistics to enhance controls and streamline processes
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including narrative and flowcharts
  • Drive automation and system implementation initiatives to modernize accounting operations and improve efficiency
  • Support external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance
  • Mentor junior accounting staff and support their professional development
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from management, and other departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
  • 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multi-entity environment
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Proficiency in enterprise level accounting systems (e.g., Certinia, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with or within business process outsourcing (BPO) environments is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across department
