Job description

About This Role:

Asa Sr. Scientist in Biomarker Discovery, you will play a pivotal role in advancing immunology therapeutics within our organization. Working with the WCH team, you will lead and executecutting-edgebiomarker research across non-clinical and clinical stages. Yourexpertisewill be crucial in generating high-quality biomarker data from non-human primate and human samples, focusing onmechanismof action, target engagement, and immune pathway modulation. This position requires a strong hands-on approach to experimental work, particularly in flow cytometry-based assays, while collaborating closely with clinical and translational partners. Your contributions will be essential in bridging immune biology with clinical development,providingdecision-enabling insights that drive clinical strategies and therapeutic advancements.

WhatYou'llDo:

  • Lead and execute clinical and translational biomarker research toestablishmechanism of action, target engagement, and immune pathway modulation for clinical-stage immunology therapeutics.

  • Independently design, perform, analyze, and interpret experiments using primary human samples to generate robust, decision-enabling biomarker data.

  • Develop,optimize, and own multiparameter flow cytometry-based clinical biomarker assays, including immune phenotyping, receptor occupancy, and pharmacodynamic readouts.

  • Support assay qualification, method transfer to CROs, and longitudinal clinical biomarker data review, ensuring assay robustness and interpretability.

  • Communicate biomarker insights clearly to cross-functional stakeholders to influence clinical strategy, study interpretation, development decision, and scientific narrative.

Required Skills:

  • PhD in Immunology or related biomedical science field (Bachelors or Masters withadditionaldirectly relevant experience may be considered).

  • 2+ years of relevant industry or translational research experience supporting clinical-stage immunology programs (6+ years with MS, 8+ years with BS).

  • Expertise inflow cytometry based assays and biomarker development.

  • Strong analytical and experimental skills in immunology research.

  • Excellent communication skills to convey scientific insights effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in assay qualification and method transfer to CROs.

  • Proficiencyin immune phenotyping, receptor occupancy, and pharmacodynamic readouts.

  • Familiarity with clinical biomarker data review and interpretation.

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $123,000.00-$164,000.00


Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
