Job description

Job Overview: The Private Banking Relationship Manager partners closely with Private Banking Officers and leadership to manage and grow existing relationships, support lending and deposit needs, and deliver an exceptional client experience. The role requires strong relationship management skills, solid banking knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate complex client needs across multiple areas of the Bank.

The candidate for this position will be responsible for:

  • Providing proactive communication, resolving service issues, coordinating complex transactions, and taking ownership of client requests from initiation through resolution.
  • Reviewing client relationships to identify unmet deposit, lending, digital banking, and other financial needs; making appropriate recommendations and introductions; and partnering with Private Banking Officers and other lines of business.
  • Assisting with consumer and Private Banking loan requests, gathering required financial information and documentation, coordinating loan processing and closing activities, monitoring outstanding items.
  • Coordinating client onboarding and ongoing relationship maintenance.
  • Collaborating with Retail Banking, Consumer Lending, Residential Lending, Commercial Banking, Treasury Services, Digital Banking, Operations, Compliance, and other departments to ensure consistency for the client.
  • Preparing client correspondence, proposals and relationship materials; supporting client meetings and events; assisting with client outreach initiatives; and identifying opportunities to enhance engagement with existing clients.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential client records, adhering to applicable policies and regulatory requirements, identifying and escalating potential concerns, and partnering with appropriate departments to resolve compliance or operational issues.

Requirements for the position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (may be waived in lieu of experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years banking experience (preferably in Private Banking, relationship banking, consumer lending, or a similar client-facing financial services role).
  • Experience with deposit and consumer lending products, including personal loans, lines of credit, and home equity lending.
  • Strong understanding of banking regulations, risk management practices, and client confidentiality requirements.
  • Exceptional organizational, multitasking, written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with CRM, loan, and banking systems.
