What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you'll oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of an apartment community while leading and developing the onsite maintenance team. This role plays a critical part in maintaining resident satisfaction, protecting company assets, and ensuring the community operates safely and efficiently.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing maintenance team members
  • Managing daily maintenance operations and assigning work orders
  • Overseeing apartment turns to ensure timely completion
  • Performing and troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs
  • Managing preventive maintenance programs
  • Maintaining community curb appeal and common areas
  • Coordinating vendors and contractors
  • Managing maintenance inventory and supplies
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, Fair Housing, and company safety standards
  • Participating in an emergency on-call rotation
  • Assisting with capital improvement projects and property inspections
  • Partnering with Community Directors to support property performance and maintenance budgets
What We're Looking For

Successful candidates typically possess:

  • Three or more years of multifamily apartment maintenance experience
  • Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • EPA Universal Certification (required)
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, and general carpentry
  • Pool certification or the ability to obtain certification
  • Excellent troubleshooting and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation

This position regularly requires the ability to:
