Quality Manager *Needs 5+ Years Automotive Mfg Experience

  • Develop, maintain and communicate quality improvements and corrective/preventative actions/results to Management
  • Development, implementation, auditing and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System in accordance with IATF 16949:2016 requirements
  • Encourage the development of lasting customer service relationship.
  • Work with all departments to ensure quality goals and objectives are met.
  • Comply with all quality requirements such as PPAP, APQP, FMEA's and Control Plans.
  • Establish good communications systems within the department, the plant, management and with customers.
  • Provide leadership to all associates and manage the activities of the Quality Department
  • Manage Quality department personnel by defining roles and responsibilities to meet customers' expectations, establish goals, and manage performance.
  • Oversee associates to ensure work is being performed according to established standards
  • Plan the department's workload and flow
  • Coordinate activities with outside customers, suppliers and contractors as necessary.
  • Prepare and present customer technical presentations as required
  • Establish communicate and post in plant key measurable and Cost
  • Lead and train all associates in root cause analysis using industry accepted methods and statistical tools to determine true failure.

Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering or 5+ Years Experience Quality in Automotive Industry
  • Demonstrated planning and system implementation ability.
  • Experience, training in Toyota TPM, Honda Lean Manufacturing System and or Six Sigma.
  • Strong tooling background (Tool and Die Qualification preferable, Die design).
  • Management Experience
  • Experience in automotive requirements and standards, PPAP submission, Control Plan and PFMEA development, reading blue prints.
  • Excellent knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques, such as Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement.
  • Must have LEAN or Process Improvement Implementation experience.
  • Communicates effectively with all associates.
  • Strong / methodical problem-solving skills - proficient in the 8D method and 5P method.
  • Excellent knowledge of IATF 16949:2016
  • Proficiency in related computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
