Job description

As a Finance Manager, you will partner with a newly formed business team focused on Delivery Automation solutions including robots and autonomous vehicles, providing strategic financial guidance that shapes the future of our operations. This high-visibility role offers the unique opportunity to build financial frameworks for cutting-edge automation initiatives while working closely with business leaders to refine value propositions and drive growth.
In this role, you will manage budgets, develop financial models, and translate complex data into actionable insights that influence key business decisions. You'll have the chance to contribute to long-term solutions that will transform our delivery business over the next 5+ years, helping to make new inventions and operating models financially successful while supporting the team's strategic business goals

If you're passionate about thinking big, driving innovation, and using your financial acumen to solve complex challenges, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to develop financial frameworks and models for Delivery Automation solutions, analyzing value propositions and providing insights that drive strategic decision-making.
- Own financial reporting and processes for the business area, including budget management, forecasting, and performance analysis to support the team's growth objectives and business goals.
- Dive deep into data to build comprehensive analyses and narratives that deliver meaningful results, translating complex financial information into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
- Identify opportunities to optimize financial processes through automation and collaboration, ensuring scalability and efficiency as the business grows.
- Navigate across partner organizations to build strong partnerships, share knowledge, and influence data-driven decision making while maintaining strong financial controllership.
A day in the life
Your day begins with reviewing the latest financial performance metrics for the automation initiatives and preparing for a morning meeting with the business team to discuss updates to the value proposition. You'll spend time refining financial models that quantify the impact of new automation solutions, collaborating with cross-functional partners to gather inputs and validate assumptions. Throughout the day, you'll analyze budget variances, identify optimization opportunities, and prepare recommendations for upcoming senior leadership reviews

You might also meet with Finance colleagues from related teams to align on updates and share financial insights across organizations.
About the team
This role is part of a broader Finance organization that includes Last Mile Tech, Worldwide Hub, and Financial Planning & Analysis within Amazon Delivery Finance. As the Finance partner for a newly formed business team, you'll be instrumental in shaping financial strategies that support long term innovation. Our team values analytical thinking, collaboration, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and simplify complex topics while maintaining high standards.
We're focused on creating long-term financial solutions that will transform Amazon's delivery business over the next 5+ years

You'll work in an environment where your insights directly influence business decisions with high visibility to leadership. We're looking for team members who are passionate about innovation, can think big, and are excited about making new technologies financially successful while driving business growth.
