Due to growth, we are adding a Finance Systems & Process Automation Advisor to our team!
The Finance Systems & Process Automation Advisor is a senior individual contributor responsible for driving finance transformation, automation, and operational excellence across financial systems and PBM processes. This role serves as a trusted advisor to Finance, Technology, and Operations, combining deep functional expertise with hands-on execution to optimize workflows, strengthen controls, and enhance scalability. The Advisor plays a critical role in the design, support, and continuous improvement of all finance processing including pharmacy payment processes and 835 transaction flows and reconciliation.

Responsibilities
How do I make an impact on my team?
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on finance operations, PBM workflows, and financial systems, providing guidance on process design, controls, and automation strategies.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives from intake through delivery, including managing structured request intake, prioritization, and workflow tracking to ensure alignment with business goals and governance standards.
  • Assist finance with oversight of the end-to-end pharmacy payment operations, including 835 file generation, validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution; ensure accuracy, compliance, and effective controls across the payment lifecycle.
  • Deliver advanced support for financial systems (e.g., ERP, billing, payment platforms), serve as an escalation point for complex issues, and support system enhancements, integrations, and releases.
  • Design and implement automated workflows using tools such as Alteryx to streamline data processing, reconciliation, and reporting; monitor and govern automation to ensure reliability and data integrity.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys) and redesign processes to reduce manual effort, eliminate defects, and prevent financial leakage while improving scalability and efficiency.
  • Develop and govern SOPs, work instructions, and job aids to ensure standardized, audit-ready processes; support training and knowledge transfer across the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • 10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or similar operations within a PBM or healthcare environment required.
  • Strong working knowledge of pharmacy payments and 835 remittance processes required.
  • Hands-on experience with Alteryx and workflow automation required.
  • Experience supporting enterprise financial systems (e.g., ERP, billing, payment platforms) required.
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
