Position Overview

Innovative Medical Solutions Inc is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our remote integrated care team. This full-time position offers an opportunity to provide vital mental health support to individuals battling co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. As an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW, you will engage in meaningful therapeutic work, helping clients navigate their recovery journey from the comfort of your home.

About the Organization

At Innovative Medical Solutions Inc, we pride ourselves on being a leading provider of integrated outpatient care. Our commitment lies in offering comprehensive mental health services tailored to individuals grappling with both mental health challenges and substance use disorders. Our practice is characterized by a strong sense of community and collaboration, cultivating an environment where each team member plays a crucial role in the healing process.

Work Environment

This full-time role is conducted entirely through telehealth, allowing you to connect with clients remotely while enjoying the flexibility of a work-from-home setup. Typical work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional evening hours on a rotating basis to accommodate client appointments. Our remote framework fosters a collaborative atmosphere where we prioritize communication and teamwork among our professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments to evaluate clientsโ€™ mental health status, substance use concerns, and the presence of co-occurring disorders.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that effectively address both their mental health and substance use needs, leveraging evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to empower clients in developing essential coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques necessary for sustainable recovery.
  • Engage in care coordination with our multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to promote an integrated and holistic treatment approach.
  • Implement regular substance use monitoring and utilize motivational interviewing techniques to provide ongoing support and encouragement during clientsโ€™ recovery journeys.
  • Educate clients and their families about the interrelation between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the significance of adherence to treatment protocols.
  • Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of treatment progress and interventions, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and ongoing training sessions to continuously enhance skills and knowledge in the treatment of co-occurring disorders.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients are individuals facing complex challenges related to mental health and substance use disorders. They seek compassionate and professional guidance to manage their conditions effectively. By focusing on co-occurring disorders, our therapists help address the compounding effects of both mental health issues and substance use, leading to more successful treatment outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
  • Proficiency in the application of evidence-based therapies designed for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
  • A strong understanding of the nuances between mental health conditions and substance use disorders, including their impact on recovery.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team setting.
Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling or therapeutic role is preferred, particularly with individuals dealing with substance use disorders. Familiarity with telehealth practices is advantageous, as well as experience in integrated care settings.

The salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 per year, complemented by a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team. In addition, we offer a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
