Position: Application Support Analyst
Client: El Paso Electric
Location: El Paso, TX
Shift: Monday through Friday - multiple shifts starting at 7AM/8AM/9AM
Status: Full-Time W2 with Benefits
Salary: $68K - $71K depending on experience
NOTE: On-call rotation
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated Application Support Analyst to assist in monitoring and maintaining the overall performance of assigned applications and to appropriately triage incoming service request and incidents to resolve or escalate the request to the appropriate team.

Essential Duties:
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Provide technical and functional solutions and advice to team members, managers, and end users and effectively balance multiple assignments and priorities.
  • Resolve complex problems for various sized applications.
  • Test and document programs according to standards to meet business.
  • Application Support Engineer / Developer to perform computer application development and support of both custom and COTS applications.
  • Documentation and implementation of application programs using standard processes.
  • Integrate with and maintain existing code base using industry and firm best practices, including source control (GIT).
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience managing large, complex individual assignments.
  • Demonstrate understanding of web development, client/server concepts and object-oriented design, including experience in Windows and Linux based systems.
  • Programming skills with .NET Framework, C#, ASP, VB and VBScript, PowerShell scripting
  • Experience using web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery)
  • Experience with SQL, PL/SQL on relational databases (Oracle and SQL Server)
  • Knowledge of design patterns and practices.
  • Proficient in RESTful APIs.
  • Strength in data structure, algorithm, multithreading, and concurrency.
  • Knowledge of the Electric Distribution, Electric Transmission, Customer Contact Center, and Power Delivery Business and/or their applications highly desirable.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge in a rapidly changing IT environment.
  • Ability to work independently and properly prioritize multiple tasks/projects.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and operate effectively under pressure of tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills including verbal and written formats and ability to listen effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 7 years in overall IT experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-5 years of experience with application development and support
Work Environment
  • Fast-Paced, High activity environment
  • Office location: El Paso, TX
  • May be required to travel domestically and/or internationally
  • A one-week on-call support rotation is required after hours
  • Lifting and/or Pulling up to 40lbs.; Sitting, Bending, Standing
