We are currently undertaking an enterprise level program to modernize our technology platforms. In addition to legacy technology platform replacement, the primary objectives of our transformation program are to align our operating environment to optimize the new system and tools, to and enable expansion into other markets.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering one, or multiple projects focused on development and integration of functional system components by collaborating with the program workstream leads, other program team members (including from our third-party solution vendor) and stakeholders across the company, to ensure that all activities are accounted for and monitored proactively. This individual will be responsible for developing and monitoring the project schedule and scope, facilitating communication among workstream teams and other stakeholders, and monitoring and driving to conclusion the actions items, issues, risks and decisions related to the project. This is a highly matrixed role requiring experience, leadership, tact, tenacity and diplomacy.
Key Responsibilities
  • Project and Program Planning and Scheduling
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Schedule
    • Weekly updates of the Schedule
    • Collaborate with various teams to gather deliverables, activities and milestones
    • Create realistic and achievable timelines for delivery
  • Communications and Reporting
    • Compile a weekly status report
    • Conduct a weekly status meeting including the project team members, vendor, and others, as needed
    • Regularly assess project progress and identify deviations from the Schedule
    • Ensure all the project deliverables and activities are accounted for in the weekly status reports
  • Risk and Issue Management
    • Identify potential risks and issues that could impact the success of the project
    • Develop and implement risk response strategies and contingency plans
    • Maintain the Program Risk Action Item, Issues, Decision (RAID) log
    • Ensure that every risk and issue have documented action items
    • Work collaboratively with the workstream leads to ensure the actions items are driven to conclusion
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
    • Promote professional development and knowledge sharing within the team
    • Encourage a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
  • Change Management
    • Manage change within the project, ensuring that changes are communicated effectively and integrated smoothly into ongoing activities
    • Work with the Change Management team to assess the impact of changes on the project and develop appropriate strategies to manage them

Job Requirements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems or a related field
  • PMP is a nice to have
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies and tools
  • Expert knowledge of MS-Project, Visio, and MS Office tools
  • Proven experience as a Program or Project Manager with solid project planning with MS project
  • Experience with application driven projects: app migrations, website/web app build, integration projects, etc.
  • Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies
  • Understanding of System Development Life Cycles
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Self-starting, with high attention to detail
  • Skilled at tactfully driving and managing internal and external team interactions and vendor delivery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with Health Plans organizations and processes
  • Familiarity with the concept of Application Programming Interface (API)

Compensation depends on experience but is typically $50-65//hr W2
