Security Operations Center Officer

We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Security Operations Center (SOC) Officer to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary

The Security Operations Center Officer will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents and alarms in real-time. This role requires a proactive approach to security management and the ability to work under pressure. The SOC Officer will collaborate with various teams to ensure the safety and security of our clients and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring: Continuously monitor security cameras, alarms, and other surveillance equipment to detect and respond to incidents.
  • Incident Response: Assess and respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
  • Reporting: Document all incidents and responses accurately in the incident management system, ensuring all reports are detailed and submitted promptly.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with law enforcement, emergency services, and internal teams during incidents.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze security data and trends to identify potential risks and recommend improvements to security protocols.
  • Training: Assist in training new staff on SOC procedures and emergency response protocols.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with security personnel, management, and external agencies to enhance overall security measures.
  • Compliance: Ensure all security operations comply with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
  • Technology Utilization: Utilize security software and tools effectively to enhance monitoring and reporting capabilities.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Participate in drills and training exercises to ensure readiness for various emergency scenarios.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security operations center or similar role.
  • Certifications: Security-related certifications (e.g., Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP)) are a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in security technologies, surveillance systems, and incident management software.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
