Job Description:   
 
Experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager responsible for leading IT/OT workstreams in the construction and commissioning of a next-generation pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The role focuses on delivering digital automation, smart factory systems, and data-driven operations while ensuring compliance with GxP, cybersecurity, and business performance standards.
 
Responsibilities
  • Lead planning, execution, and oversight of IT/OT infrastructure for a multipurpose pharmaceutical production facility
  • Manage delivery of network and connectivity infrastructure for the new site
  • Oversee setup of on-site data center supporting manufacturing systems and acting as a secondary local data center
  • Drive SAP ERP extensions, including inventory management for the new plant
  • Lead implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and electronic Batch Records (eBR)
  • Deliver smart factory systems, including automation controls and centralized monitoring dashboards
  • Define and manage IT/OT integration strategy across engineering, automation, and IT teams
  • Ensure GxP-compliant delivery, including validation, documentation, and audit readiness
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, construction partners, and business teams
  • Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, and executive status reports
  • Implement cybersecurity controls for OT and digital infrastructure
  • Enable scalability through flexible architecture and technology solutions
  • Drive decision-making, risk management, and ensure delivery within scope, timeline, and budget
Required Skills
  • 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Project Management
  • Strong experience in IT/OT integration within manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments
  • Knowledge of GxP regulations, validation processes, and compliance standards
  • Expertise in network infrastructure, data centers, and enterprise systems (e.g., SAP ERP)
  • Experience with MES, eBR, and smart factory/automation systems
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, especially in OT environments
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills (planning, RAID management, reporting)
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
