Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is seeking a contribution-minded Senior Accounting Analyst to join our Finance, Accounting & Risk organization supporting SG&A accounting and financial analysis. This role partners closely with commercial and capability leaders to provide transparency into cost structures, deliver actionable insights, and enable better business decision-making.
This position plays a key role in helping leaders understand the drivers of SG&A costs and identify opportunities to optimize spending in support of long-term value creation. You will be highly engaged in annual and quarterly planning processes, providing forward-looking analysis and helping translate strategy into financial outcomes.
Within KAES, the role of a Senior Accounting Analyst has evolved to go beyond traditional accounting. This role requires a combination of accounting expertise, analytical thinking, and business acumen to connect financial data to business decisions. You will collaborate across functions and leadership levels, building strong partnerships and delivering insights that influence how the business operates.
A successful candidate will be comfortable navigating both accounting and analytics, managing large and complex datasets, and communicating financial information in a clear and actionable way. The ability to build effective partnerships and collaborate across functions and levels of the organization will be key.
Our Team
The Senior Accounting Analyst will be a part of the larger Controller Team, which oversees consolidated financials, audits, taxes, fixed assets, cost management, and reporting. This position is located at the Wichita, KS headquarters and offers a flexible work schedule.
What You Will Do
  • Partner with commercial and capability leaders to provide transparent SG&A cost analysis and help drive informed decision-making.
  • Support annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring alignment between business strategy and financial expectations.
  • Analyze SG&A costs and key drivers to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver clear, concise financial reporting and presentations to business partners and leadership.
  • Collaborate with Koch Capability Companies (KCC) to understand and manage costs impacting the business.
  • Apply accounting knowledge to ensure accurate financial results and provide context to analytical insights.
  • Leverage financial systems and data tools to automate, standardize, and improve reporting and analysis processes.
  • Build a deep understanding of the business, including key value drivers and operational priorities, to better support decision-making.
  • Support transformation initiatives by improving processes, enhancing data visibility, and adopting new technologies and tools.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related roles that demonstrates a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
  • Experience analyzing large datasets from multiple sources and translating findings into clear insights.

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Experience supporting SG&A cost management, corporate cost structures, or business-facing finance roles.
  • Experience with financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial results and insights to stakeholders.
  • Experience using tools such as OneStream, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar data and analytics platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes through automation, technology adoption, or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong economic thinking and curiosity to understand how financial results connect to business performance.
