Compensation and Benefits

The expected base salary range for this position, when hired into our Toronto location, is CAD $98,045 - 122,055 per year. For positions based in other jurisdictions, compensation will be determined in alignment with local regulations, market benchmarks, and internal compensation frameworks. The above range reflects the typical base salary range for candidates hired into this position. The actual salary will vary depending on a number of factors, including job location, experience, qualifications, education/training, skills, market conditions, and alignment with the role's requirements.

In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in our annual incentive program, payment under which is at the discretion of PartnerRe and subject to individual and company performance. Eligible employees also have the opportunity to participate in an array of benefits, including medical, dental and vision coverage, a health spending account, a defined contribution pension plan, life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, etc.

Working Arrangement

As Manager of Assumed Administration, you will lead a team of analysts responsible for the intake, validation, and transformation of client data across reinsurance operations. You will oversee operational workflows, ensure data integrity, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes. This role is pivotal in driving process excellence, system enhancements, and strategic alignment across NAL Operations and Administration.

Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Data Analysts to ensure performance, engagement, and growth.
  • Set clear objectives, monitor KPIs, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee monthly client data processing, including ETL workflows, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, IT security protocols, and audit requirements.
  • Resolve escalated data issues and ensure timely delivery of client and internal reporting.
Strategic Collaboration
  • Partner with Underwriting, Claims, Finance, IT, and Business Development to align data operations with business goals.
  • Represent Assumed Admin in cross-functional initiatives, audits, and client meetings.
  • Lead discussions on treaty interpretation, retrocession data, and operational impacts.
Process & System Improvement
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve data quality, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Lead or sponsor system upgrades, testing cycles, and deployment planning.
  • Ensure documentation of workflows, controls, and change management activities. 
Client Engagement
  • Serve as escalation point for client data inquiries and audit requests.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.
  • Support onboarding of new clients and treaty implementations.

Technical skills/competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of reinsurance principles, treaty structures, and financial flows
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and ETL tools; familiarity with VBA, Python, or BI platforms is a plus
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
