Assistant Managers and Managers play a critical role in ensuring aquatic facilities meet the excellent customer service and safety standards associated with the Midwest Pool Management name. Leadership positions enforce all facility, company, and local health department rules, regulations, and guidelines.This role is ideal for individuals who are organized, responsible, proactive, and able to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. We offer flexible scheduling, convenient facility placement, and opportunities to build leaderships skills, strengthen communication, and make a direct impact on the guest experience. Schedule & PaySchedule: Mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidaysEmployment Type: Part-time, Seasonal (May - September)Pay: Starting at $17.50 per hour QualificationsMust be 15 years of age or older by the date of their Lifeguard Certification ClassAbility to swimAvailable to work flexible hours to meet staffing needs, including nights, weekends, and holidaysAbility to respond to emergenciesAbility to communicate effectively with staff, management, and guestsAbility to lift 50+ pounds and transport 50+ feet to perform rescues or move equipment/chemicals safely ResponsibilitiesEnsure the facility adheres to the highest safety standards and take action to correct unsafe or potentially dangerous areasBe visible and accessible while on duty; handle a variety of situations calmly, helpfully, and assertively, and know when to ask for assistanceLead and supervise Lifeguard staff, ensure they follow facility rules and conduct audits to monitor performanceMaintain open and professional communication with guests, staff, Field Supervisors, District Managers, the MPM Office, and ClientsCreate staff schedule, know the schedule, and arrive at work on timeAlways present yourself professionally through both appearance and attitudeCheck and adjust chemicals; fill out daily checklists, inventories, and reports as neededEnsure all areas are organized, clean, and visually appealing, including bathrooms, deck, guard office, and pump roomAttend meetings with Supervisors and Clients as requiredAttend regular in-service training (minimum of 4 hours per month)Knowledge of and adhering to the 15-Year-Old Employee GuidelinesWear the required company uniform while on dutyCertifications & TrainingLifeguard Certification required (StarGuard Elite or equivalent).
