As a Management Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting store operations by assisting managers with hiring, onboarding, and orientation processes. As a member of the Business Operations team, this position ensures a seamless experience for job applicants and new associates while also providing exceptional customer service and operational support across sales, auction, and appraisal functions. You'll manage critical administrative tasks such as cash handling, paperwork processing, and system updates, all within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will help maintain operational excellence and deliver a best-in-class experience for both associates and customers.

Role Responsibilities

  • Coordinate hiring and onboarding processes, including scheduling interviews, preparing documentation, and managing applicant records in Workday.
  • Facilitate new associate orientation, ensuring timely completion of required documentation and training, and maintaining accurate personnel files.
  • Provide customer service support by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with paperwork.
  • Process sales and auction paperwork, including DMV documentation and dealer registration.
  • Handle cash management tasks, including deposits, safe handling, and multiple payment types.
  • Support Business Office operations and mentor new associates as needed.
  • Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and accurately transcribe data for record-keeping.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
