Seneca Foods in Glencoe, MN is currently seeking a Youth Apprentice to join our team. To gain knowledge in the vegetable processing and distribution field. To help with basic PM's throughout the production and distribution areas under the guidance of multiple mentors. Help us make our Farm Fresh Goodness Great!
Responsibilities:
• Work under mentor(s) in various areas within the Production, Distribution, and Agriculture departments
• Engine room: startup and shutdown procedures
• Canning room: daily PM's and record keeping associated with canning vegetables
• Corn building: daily operations including PM of cutter and vision equipment
• Distribution: daily operations of label line
• Agriculture: daily operation & maintenance of agriculture and related equipment.
• Employee relations
• Follow all appropriate GMP/safety rules and regulations
• Follow all youth safety standards as defined by OSHA and the State of MN
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Willingness and ability to function in a team environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization
• Flexibility, organization, and time management skills
• 16+ years of age
• Interest in maintenance/mechanical work in a production setting; some mechanical experience is preferred
Starting wage range based on skills, abilities, and experience at $18.54 per hour.
