About the Role: 
Wisconsin Lakefront Property Management LLC is looking for a detail-oriented Property Management Accountant to join our team in Sheboygan, WI. This is a great opportunity to bring your accounting expertise to a dynamic property management environment where your work directly supports the success of our portfolio. Responsibilities: 
  • Setup and maintain each business balance sheet and perform bank reconciliation on a timely and monthly basis
  • Audit day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
  • Own all aspects of accounting for our new construction projects including data entry, bill payment, bank reconciliation and balance sheets
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, budget variance reports, and property-level financial reporting
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and forecasting for managed properties
  • Support year-end close processes and assist with tax preparation documentation
  • Ensure compliance with applicable generally accepted accounting principals, accounting standards and property management regulations
Requirements:
 
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in property management or real estate
  • Proficiency in property management or accounting software (prefer Rent Manager experience, but Quickbooks is helpful)
  • Strong understanding of balance sheet structure, proper accounting for real estate assets, general ledgers, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Must love numbers and math
  • Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team
