Position Description

The System Network Administrator II will be responsible for proactively managing the computer and network systems for client businesses in a collaborative and supportive team culture. The position responsibilities include system and network administration and management for the client's overall IT environment.

The System and Network Administrator is empowered to monitor and maintain network systems, troubleshoot and make improvements to client's networks as necessary or recommended and provide end user support. The position will be interacting and consulting with clients on a daily basis and must be skilled in communicating with end users at all levels of a client organizations. The position will also have an active role in project management, consulting with clients on technology solutions that improve business processes and efficiencies.

The position also offers an opportunity to engineer new client acquisitions and transition processes using best in class due diligence and discovery practices. You will be able to use your technical, client facing and innovation skills to design and optimize technical environments that meet the unique needs of the client.

This is an opportunity to work with a team of seasoned System and Network Engineers to further grow and expand your technical skills.

Position Requirements

We are interested in talking to versatile IT professionals with a strong technical background and the ability to interface with clients at a senior level and translate IT services to a business value. You should have strong client facing skills and enjoy creating and managing IT solutions that leverage technology to meet client business needs. Qualifications in the following areas are key:

  • Worked in a Managed Service Provider environment
  • Skilled using RMM tools and processes (NinjaOne a plus)
  • Experience with ticketing systems (Auto-Task a plus)
  • Skilled in client interaction and communication with end users
  • Ability to scope and manage projects
  • Manage all aspects of a networking platform including configurations, design and maintain.
  • Perform network infrastructure and system troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Expert experience with Windows PC and Server Operating Systems
  • Expert with Active Directory
  • Understands Backup and Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity strategies
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration including Entra, Intune, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
  • Understands current, new and evolving cybersecurity protocols and posture
  • Understands the software update and Patch Management processes
  • Document technical procedures and user guides
  • Assist in the support of partner solutions for the benefit of client productivity

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft Administrator fundamental and role-based certifications are desirable
  • CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+
  • Other applicable certifications

Candidate Attributes

  • 3 or more years working in a Managed Service Provider organization
  • Must present a highly professional image and attitude and have excellent customer facing and communication skills.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills, can work independently, results oriented and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative and team oriented environment.
  • Comfortable working with people at all levels within a client organization on a daily basis
  • We expect the candidate to be responsive to client needs and be accountable for clients overall satisfaction.
