STORE MANAGER -JOB DESCRIPTION
REPORTS TO: DISTRICT MANAGER NON-EXEMPT/ADMINISTRATION
DIRECT REPORTS: ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER, SHIFT SUPERVISOR, CREW MEMBERS
EXEMPTION STATUS: EXEMPT (CALIFORNIA EXEMPTION STATUS : NON-EXEMPT)
GENERAL SUMMARY: The Store Manager is responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, or annual sales,
labor, and food costs and driving stores' profitability goals. The Store Manager provides strong day-today
leadership to staff to achieve sales initiatives, marketing initiatives, food costs, labor costs goals,
expense control, overall financial and operational performance of the store. The Store Manager is
required to exercise discretion regularly and customarily in managing the overall operations of the store.
Most of the time is spent supervising and directing the workforce, making staffing decisions upon
approval from DM, HR, or President of the company such as (hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining,
discharging, staffing, and scheduling). The Store Manager ensures guest satisfaction and product quality,
managing the store's financial performance and managing safety and security within the store. This role
is critical in providing our guest with an outstanding experience.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, but not limited to the following:
โ€ข Responsible for his/her store meeting the financial targets set forth by Fresh Dining Concepts, LLC.
Items include monitoring: labor costs, food costs, and meeting the sales goals. Monitor, control, and
reduce where possible all variable operating expenses.
โ€ข Manages the assets of the store, including maintaining the security and safety of the store.
โ€ข Provides overall insight for cash handling and timely processing of required financial reports. This
includes making bank deposits during the day and securing the "top safe" and not compromising its
combination.
โ€ข Monitors inventory levels, productions, waste, unauthorized "giveaways," etc. to control cost of
goods, without compromising product quality.
โ€ข Recruits, interviews, and hires staff for the store location.
โ€ข Directs and coordinates the activities of all staff.
โ€ข Ensures uniform policy is being strictly adhered to; ensure maintenance of dress code and personal
appearance standards.
โ€ข Provides/supervises training and onboarding of all new and existing staff.
โ€ข Determines staffing needs and schedule all staff; bi-weekly schedule (including a personal schedule)
and provide to District Manager.
โ€ข In consultation with District Manager, if necessary, determine a personal schedule based on the
requirements of the position; inform staff through inclusion in the weekly schedule.
โ€ข Provides disciplined leadership to staff, including setting clear expectations and holding the team and
self-accountable for results. On-boards, trains, coaches, counsels, develops, disciplines, and terminates
employees. Performs supervisory responsibilities, including, but not limited to making employment
decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting, terminating. Recommends staff promotions and wage
increases.
โ€ข Provides for accurate monthly physical inventory.
โ€ข Ensures time keeping is accurate for all employees at the store.
โ€ข As needed, review and authorize payment of invoices from vendors and other suppliers of goods and
services; promptly transmit for payment as directed.
โ€ข Directs operations to properly maintain all equipment and physical facilities at all times.
โ€ข Directs and supervises the ongoing and periodic cleaning and maintenance of all equipment and
physical facilities.
โ€ข Ensures the maintenance of all equipment and facilities in accordance with manufacturer and physical
facilities.
โ€ข As needed, contact approved service and repair sources for necessary repairs as directed by District
Manager.
โ€ข Ensures the prompt completion and transmission of all required paperwork, reports, etc., as directed
by District Manager.
โ€ข Maintains files relating to operations and personnel, as directed by the corporate office and the
District Manager.
โ€ข Coordinates the execution of all promotional, marketing, advertising, and public relations activities as
directed by the District Manager.
โ€ข Recommends local promotional, marketing, advertising, and public relations activities; with the
assistance of the District Manager and develop and execute approved activities.
โ€ข Recommends pricing strategies and special offers; execute as approved.
โ€ข Maintains good working relations with mall management and staff; attend meetings and participate in
Merchants Association, Mall Marketing Committee, or similar activities.
โ€ข Complies with all Auntie Anne's/Cinnabon and Fresh Dining Concepts, LLC policies/procedures
including relevant federal and state regulations, e.g., safety and environmental standards, OSHA, EPA,
Right to Know, EEO, ADA, etc.
โ€ข Performs all of the essential duties of this position in a safe and effective manner, consistent with the
prescribed method and guidelines established by Auntie Anne's/Cinnabon and Fresh Dining Concepts,
LLC.
โ€ข Be a working manager on the front line with team members; crew/shift/ assistant store manager.
โ€ข Performs other duties as assigned.
