Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to support the Sierra Store Operations team as a Store Operations Specialist (Contractor). This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth everyday execution of store technology and operational processes by providing frontline support, coordinating issue resolution, and assisting with project execution.
You will work closely with Store Operations, IT, and cross-functional partners to help maintain, support, and improve store systems and processes. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to build experience in retail operations and technology.
Responsibilities
Run-the-Business Support
  • Provide day-to-day operational support for store systems and processes (POS, back-office systems, store technology tools)
  • Monitor, triage, and respond to incoming support requests from stores and field teams
  • Track and handle issues through resolution, ensuring timely follow-up and communication
  • Maintain documentation, trackers, and reporting related to store operations and technology

Escalation & Issue Management
  • Serve as a first point of contact for field escalation coordination
  • Partner with IT, Service Desk, and vendors to ensure issues are resolved efficiently
  • Identify trends in recurring issues and escalate insights to leadership
  • Support incident tracking and post-issue reviews

Project Coordination & Execution Support
  • Assist with coordination of store technology initiatives, pilots, and rollouts
  • Support project tracking, timelines, and status reporting across multiple initiatives
  • Help prepare materials for meetings, updates, and communications to stakeholders
  • Coordinate testing activities and help ensure readiness for implementation

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Partner with Store Operations, IT, Finance, and other business teams to support execution
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders to provide updates and gather information
  • Support onboarding, training coordination, and documentation for new processes or tools

Administrative & Analytical Support
  • Maintain project trackers, dashboards, and reporting tools
  • Assist with data collection and basic analysis to support decision-making
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by documenting opportunities and solutions
  • Special projects as assigned

Required Experience
  • 1-5 years of experience in operations, retail, IT support, or project coordination (internships/co-ops included)
  • Bachelors degree OR equivalent work experience
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
